Living in an Amish Paradise
Still no power at home. Jordan and James were kind enough to let us bring the lizards to their place so they can at least have heat lamps. Their internet is still out, so we've been entertaining ourselves with board games and such. I have this drive to walk around the neighborhood looking at all the damage and just feeling generally communal, but Andrew doesn't have a job that has him sitting in a chair all day, so he's not as eager for the exercise. It's actually kind of fun and adventurous, especially now that I don't have to worry about the cold-blooded members of the household. I'm almost glad to have something pushing me up and out into the world. And then I think about my WoW characters, and how I'm missing all the RP events and such we do at the start of the week, and how Meg still hasn't grudgingly, embarassedly thanked Bloodaxe for doing the right thing and hasn't gotten to offer to help Gaurth fix the roof, and how Meri needs to be fussing over the Hallow's End stuff, and all the stuff I didn't get a chance to play around with yet on the PTR, I didn't even get to try using Living Bomb yet...
And then I'm overcome with seperation anxiety. Eep.
I turn 30 on Friday. It will be really sad if I have to turn 30 with no power. The funny thing is the plan is to go to the Ren Fair on Saturday, but seriously, how different will it seem after a week with no power? I dunno whether people wanna do a big dinner thing on Friday or anything.
I'm too old. I'm gonna go keel over and die now.
